| Produce [grown] outside the land, that came into the land is subject to Hallah; [if it] went out from here to there, R. Eliezer declares [it] to be subject [thereto], but R. Akiba declares [it] to be exempt [therefrom]. |

2.1 פירות חוצה לארץ שנכנסו לארץ, חייבין בחלה ובמעשרות יצאו מכאן לשם-- רבי אליעזר מחייב, ורבי עקיבה פוטר |
| If earth from outside the land has come to the land in a boat, [the produce grown therein] is subject to tithes and to the [law relating to] the Seventh Year. Said R. Judah: when [does this apply]? When the boat touches [the ground] dough which has been kneaded with fruit-juice is subject to Hallah, and may be eaten with unclean hands. |
